Tasmania Roadtrip Week 6 - Tasman Island

The dolerite columns and pillars are very impressive on Tasman Island too although not as high as the ones at Cape Pillar. The island once was covered with eucalypt forest but they were all chopped down by the lighthouse keepers and the rest of the vegetation grazed by sheep, cattle, pigs and goats. Native vegetation is slowly returning since demanning the lighthouse in 1977
